Happy 2009 to all. You may be wondering what I am cheering about, is it a belated Christmas or New year celebration, given how slow I am to update this site you may be well within your rights to think this, but no it is something totally different. Finally, finally we have access to a faster internet connection, as you know much to our disgust we have been subjected to substandard dial up internet. This connection was slower than a snail with a bad leg and suffice to say the children were always on line therefore obliterating our chance of ever hearing from anyone by phone. Anyway I was finally confirmed that Optus Wireless Broadband would work in our area and lo and behold it certainly does. Now I should be able to load pictures and do all the things that most other people are able to do in their own homes. With a bit of luck I might even be able to keep this site a little more updated than previously but please do not hold your breath, I still have work and that certainly keeps me off the streets and out of the net.

So what have I got to tell you about at the moment, well we have just had 3 weeks holidays our first week was spent in Canberra and might I say we thought it was fantastic. Canberra was so sculptural and very pleasing to the eye, it was easy to get around and my little darling did not get lost once. I will try to load some pictures for you to look at over the next couple of weeks.

Unfortunately we came home to extreme weather conditions in Victoria but were lucky that Rushworth remained safe, our thoughts go out to everyone affected by fires. How lucky are we in Australia to have such a wonderful community who pulls together in the face of adversity, there are scores of heros and many who should be commended for other services and assistance they have provided and will continue to provide. It is great to see the support we have received from other areas in the world to.

Anyway that is all for now. I will see if I can remember how to put in pictures and stuff over the next few weeks, I think I have to resize them first. You all take care and my love to all.

Holiday

Well hello again, I finally made it back, I am slinking in here today cause I know I said I would try to get here a little bit more often, but whenever I say that the timeframes get longer! Oh well if it was Christmas in July it must be New year in August so perhaps I could make it my New Year in August resolution that I try to become more diligent from now on. Hmm, then again I never make New years resolutions, so why is that you might ask........, of course, because I NEVER KEEP THEM!!! So how about I just forget the promises and say what it is I came here to say.

Well firstly I want to let you know we have just been on holiday, we went to Cairns and Townsville and it was wonderful. Its quite amazing how warm it is up here while we are freezing our butts off down there in Victoria. I will try to put up some pictures for you all, but since I am not with my dear Computer Guru Bernie, I might not be able to do that till I go and see him at the House. Anyway back to the story, while in Cairns we stayed in the most gorgeous unit which overlooked the sea and was so romantic. We then went to Townsville and stayed with Nana and Phil, so Secondly I would like to say a big thank you to Nana and Phil for having us. Might I also say that Nana did a great job showing us all the sights and yes, all the shopping centres in Townsville. Anyway that is all for now as I have to go and soak up lots of Townsville heat before we head for home later today.

OHHH MY GOSHHH!!!!!

Well here I am again, slightly frothing at the mouth, eyes rolling and hitting my head against the brick wall, but here never the less, I am not sure what the heck I am doing but Bernie assures me... "All will be well"

Oh yeah, I have got my domain name, which is nowhere near as simple as a nickname I can assure you, mind you Bernie reassures me it is an integral step to successfully publishing the B & B website. Anyway, I think I am sort of on the track to uploading www.warangaview.com

Bernie and I have been pulling our hair out, well me mostly and Bernie as always is the picture of calmness. We have tried to upload the required information but warangaview is still not showing up on the www. We are hoping that it is on the way though and that it will mysteriously appear within the next 24 hours. So please let me know if you happen to see it on your travels.

Anyway that is all for now, I will let you know when I have got it working, hopefully it will be very, very soon. In the meantime you can still view it via www.webdotwiz.com/warangaview/

Yeehaaaa

Howdy, now you might ask what have I got to cheer about. Well... the never ending B & B is finally finished. Oh yeah, and aren't we ecstatic, mind you it looks fantastic, least we think so.

We are still doing some of the outdoor tidy up and I still have one more garden I want to create as well. Hopefully we will get most all of our chores done during January, but we will be accepting guests in the meantime. I am just waiting on for our Certificate of Completion and then we will be open for business. Ahhh yes, and after such a long time coming, I reckon we might have to get into a few cases of bubbly, (shame I don't really drink much). Anyway I think a celebration is in order and what a wonderful time of year for that.

Here is a little sneak preview of the completed unit. Thanks to my clever computer teacher Bernie, I will be able to load up some more for you to see, plus my website will be updated. So check it out!

Bernie the bossy boy is telling me I can't say hello, but I will say it anyway.
