OHHH MY GOSHHH!!!!!

Well here I am again, slightly frothing at the mouth, eyes rolling and hitting my head against the brick wall, but here never the less, I am not sure what the heck I am doing but Bernie assures me... "All will be well"

Oh yeah, I have got my domain name, which is nowhere near as simple as a nickname I can assure you, mind you Bernie reassures me it is an integral step to successfully publishing the B & B website.  Anyway, I think I am sort of on the track to uploading www.warangaview.com

Bernie and I have been pulling our hair out, well me mostly and Bernie as always is the picture of calmness.  We have tried to upload the required information but warangaview is still not showing up on the www.  We are hoping that it is on the way though and that it will mysteriously appear within the next 24 hours.  So please let me know if you happen to see it on your travels.

Anyway that is all for now, I will let you know when I have got it working, hopefully it will be very, very soon.  In the meantime you can still view it via www.webdotwiz.com/warangaview/

If I don't speak to you before may you have a safe, wonderful Christmas and may all your plans come to fruition in 2008.

Chow for now

Yeehaaaa

Howdy, now you might ask what have I got to cheer about.  Well... the never ending B & B is finally finished.  Oh yeah, and aren't we ecstatic, mind you it looks fantastic, least we think so.

We are still doing some of the outdoor tidy up and I still have one more garden I want to create as well.  Hopefully we will get most all of our chores done during January, but we will be accepting guests in the meantime.  I am just waiting on for our Certificate of Completion and then we will be open for business.  Ahhh yes, and after such a long time coming, I reckon we might have to get into a few cases of bubbly, (shame I don't really drink much).  Anyway I think a celebration is in order and what a wonderful time of year for that.

Here is a little sneak preview of the completed unit.  Thanks to my clever computer teacher Bernie, I will be able to load up some more for you to see, plus my website will be updated.  So check it out!

Anyway, that is all the news I have for the moment, nice talking to you.  Have a great Christmas and a wonderful new year, may all your Christmas wishes come true.  We hope to see you at Waranga View very soon.

I'm back

Hi all,

Yes I know, I told everyone that things were going to change and that I would try to get here a little more often, well what happened!  Hmm, well if I knew that I would tell you, and surely, if you know, could you please explain it to me.  Anyway, just be grateful I finally got here, haven't you heard the saying better late than never!

OK, so if I haven't been here, where the heck have I been?  Well now that's a long story, so sit back, put your feet up and sip your Tia Maria!

Once upon a time, (just after I was last here), we were moving full steam ahead with that lovely little b & b we are building, things seemed to be really happening, then.....all of a sudden along came the kids....(suspenseful music)!  Alright, well not them exactly, they have been with us a fair while actually, but all of a sudden the football season was upon us.  Yes I know you find this hard to believe but the pre season training started at the end of January.  Before I could say "Jack Splatt" we were heading over to Tatura 2 to 3 times per week and then the pre season practice matches started taking over our weekends too.  Suffice to say we have not really achieved much at all since I was last talking to you.  Sure we have been slowly chipping away at the b & b whenever we get a few spare minutes and I am glad to report it is nearly finished.  I am sorry but I haven't got any current pictures of the b & b however, I will try to take some tomorrow.  I will then grab a bunch of roses, or maybe a big fat chocolate cake and head down to see Bernie my esteemed computer teacher.  I will then do some serious sweet-talking and try to be a dutiful pupil and I will try to get some new b & b pics online later next week.

So what else... well I have been busy doing stuff with the Landcare group I am involved with.  Our main project is converting the disused railway line between Murchison and Rushworth into a multifunctional "Railtrail".  Now, because you have waited so patiently for me to come back and blurb on to you I will give you a treat today.  I will try to upload some of the glorious pictures of this disused railway land.

Anyway I have been busting to tell you this news, GUESS WHAT HAPPENED TODAY?  Give up?  OK well today I went down to a local swamp with my friends to check on a site for the new picnic grounds the Landcare group is going to build there in September.  While we were there we had a walk around the park and we seen a pair of BROLGAS....hmm, so you aren't impressed.  Well I am sure that if you seen a pair of Brolgas you would be IMPRESSED because they are very large and spectacular birds.  Given they are quite rare in Victoria with declining numbers it is something that we may not see for much longer and possibly our children and grandchildren may not even experience at all, how sad.  Anyway, the good news is, I took some photos, they are very shy though and I didn't want to get to close and scare them away.  I promise that I will make every effort to get them on here tonight should my computer cope with this task &/or assuming that I will have the grey matter to actually be able to put pictures on this site without the help of dear Bernie, (the man is a genius, oh and a saint, you should see the troublesome students he has to contend with day in day out....)!!

So on that note I am going to leave you, I am going to try and load this blog and then, while the gentle symphony of the frogs, (out the front in the pond), lulls me, I shall calmly try to load some pictures for you.  Should you hear any mad screaming you will know I failed dismally and therefore, I will have to wait for Bernie the computer Guru to help me later in the week.  So be patient, sleep tight and remember to enjoy the simple pleasures in life.......

See you soon, I hope

Where does the time go?

Well I have no idea, one minute I was cruising along half way through 2006 and next thing I know it was Christmas and of course I was not at all prepared for it.  As you know something has to suffer and as you may have noticed I neglected all my computer duties from then till now.  Well of course I have been punished as firstly I forgot my password and then my site had forgotten me, serves me right of course but anyway I shall try to be more diligent from now on.

Anyway, what have we been doing with our non existant time?  Well we have done lots of landscaping stuff around the b & b and surrounds.  No of course we are still not finished the unit.  Mind you we are awfully close, thankfully we have nearly finished the bathroom and may I say I will be so glad when its done.  I reckon I will dance for a week!

I am sorry but I can't show you any pictures as I haven't even taken any since last year when I was blissfully snapping the riceflowers.  I will try to take some over the next couple of weeks and show you all the new bits and bobs.

The dry weather is persisting here but at least we did get a little rain in our water tanks after Christmas.  I have heard that more "normal" rainfall is predicted over the next few months so I hope that this occurs.  It is sad to drive around the district and see all the barren paddocks, along with all the stressed fauna and flora.

Anyway on that note I am sure everything will improve, including me and I hope to show you some nice pictures over the coming weeks.

Till then, enjoy the simple pleasures and be safe
